Completely Different Experience

Funyo’s interface is similar in style to one of the older versions of Facebook and works in similar ways when it comes to having a profile and being able to become Funyo friends or message each other. This website is different from other webcam chat sites out there because you have the option of logging in either by signing up with Funyo with your email or logging in with Facebook. The overall set-up of this webcam chat website is organized and it seems easy to navigate and know your options.

Right away, you get illustrated options at the bottom of the main page of Funyo. They offer random chats (or Chat Roulette), Local Chat, Group Chat, Video Chat Rooms, Gay Chat and Girls Chat. Their services appear to cater to most users interested in some form of web chat or the other. These divided options and features make it easier for you to find exactly what you’re looking for while avoiding most of what you’re not interested in at the same time. These chat pages are free to use even if you do not sign up for the website (also free to join).

Funyo warns that all sections of this website are intended for 18 and older users only. Many of them contain adult and sexually explicit content. There also does not seem to be much of a restriction on what kind of images users put on their profiles either, so this website is not recommended to anyone underage or easily offended by such content.

The profiles themselves are relatively open to the public eye. You can view many of them without logging in and the messages that people post on them. So, if you wish to browse the website before deciding that you want to sign up it’s easy to do. They, in fact, have a way to browse through Featured Members. You can easily filter your search by gender, age, location, keyword and more. You can even search down to the zip code in order to find a stranger closer to home. The Featured Members are a limited list though, so you won’t be able to search very extensively without logging in.

The Verdict

Beyond webcam chats this website offers a Forum as well, but it is severely inactive and really not worth going to as a result. The rest of the website is interesting, however, thanks to the numbers of ways you can be connected to people. It would be great to have more features within the profiles though, and more ways to interact through that other than rating a member or posting messages. Overall, our recommendation would be that this is one of the more interesting webcam chat sites out there and worth at least a look if any of the information we have listed doesn’t deter you in any way.
