This webcam service website is free to use, although they do offer an upgraded membership called Speedster. Speedster membership provides you with more bandwidth, meaning a faster connection and any fees associated with it simply cover this service. Users can use the website as a guest, but must enter in a few pieces of information before continuing on to the service page.

The Webcam services offer two sections to users: Friends & Family and Open Area. The Open Area connects you to random strangers within an interface that is similar to many of the familiar chat rooms out there, except there is the addition of video feed. You can participate in the chat without broadcasting your video feed or anyone else’s feed. There is a list of the people signed in to one side of the page, however, which you can click through. Some broadcasted feeds are rated by popularity.

Before entering either of the sections there is a statement for each that explains that these broadcasts are intended for only lawful content and should be appropriate for mainstream audiences. The chats suggest that some users will occasionally toe the line, but they allow users to Report or even Hide other users. You can also mark someone as your Fav to keep track of interesting people. Guests do not choose a username and members cannot change their username once they have signed up. The unique thing about these webcam chat services is that it allows a private video chat within the chat room. While most other webcam services are randomized, this allows you to have a bit more control over who you talk to.

We would recommend this webcam service to anyone who wants more of the text chat room experience brought back into their online socializing. It is not the best webcam service out there, but it is certainly hard to find ones that are set up in this particular way. If you want a bit more control over whose video fee you view and who views yours, then it’s worth a look.
